| Remember when rock albums were exciting? When you never knew what style the next song would be? Theres no way a major record label would release the Beatles' White Album today. Theyd say it was stylistically scattershot and incoherent. Re-record it and make all the songs sound the same! That way you establish a signature sound. Brand identity. And a very boring album.
Bender: Songs for the Red States is the new CD from New Hampshire recording artist Jonathan Whitcomb and has no such restrictions. |

| The songs move and breathe as they follow the songwriters muse and take you on a meandering musical journey rather than a fast lane straight shot from A to B. Similarly the topics move from real to surreal, serious to whimsical, earnest to ironic. Many points of view are explored here...not everything is as it seems. | |||||||||
| Welcome. I hope these songs appeal to you no matter what color state or country you come from. Listen to some music and enjoy your stay. | |||||||||
